Municipal Landfill

Location:

NE 24-51-26-W3 (South of the Hamlet of Hillmond)

Open:

Tuesdays/Fridays/Saturdays
Closed Statutory Holidays

Hours:

November through March: 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

April through October:        10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.

This municipal landfill is open to the RM of Britannia No. 502 Ratepayers only. All waste must be placed in the appropriate areas as directed by the landfill supervisor. Household waste must be properly bagged.

This municipal dump allows appliances for a fee of $10.00 each.

The following items are prohibited at the municipal landfill:

  • Tires
  • Rocks, rubble
  • Dead animals
  • Treated/spoiled grain
  • Pesticide containers
  • Used oil & used oil containers
  • Batteries
  • Old automobiles or machinery
  • Petroleum
  • Contaminated soil
  • Biomedical waste
  • Paint
  • Oil related products
  • Computers (components)
